The renovation of this (188,000 sf) 5-Story granite Library and Courts Building also included Seismic upgrades. This project’s primary goals are to gain back the historic character of the landmark State Library and Courts Building and to upgrade the buildings infrastructure systems to support future needs. Renovations will include, upgrading security, accessibility, fire and life safety systems, repair roof and shell damage, abatement of hazardous materials and restoring historic features such as ceilings, lights, elevators, and public art.
MatriScope provided special inspection and materials testing including concrete formwork and reinforcement, cast-in-place concrete, post-installed anchors, concrete unit masonry, structural steel, and steel decking.
