Renovation of these two 18 floor towers, including 540,000 square feet of office space for the State of California Department of Social Services (DSS), will include implementation of new mechanical, electrical and telecommunications systems, structural upgrades addressing seismic considerations, overall building upgrades meeting current code requirements, and minor repairs to the exterior shell. The seismic retrofit upgrades include epoxy dowel installation and hydraulic dampening system incorporated into the newly installed steel brace frames. Remaining renovations included the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life systems.
The State of California, Department of General Services (DGS) relied on MatriScope to provide services encompassing geotechnical engineering and all special inspections related to micro-piles, earthwork, structural concrete, epoxy anchors, structural steel, high-strength bolting and fireproofing.
