The Sutter Medical Center Hospital Replacement project was designed to LEED Silver certification and consisted of a new 182,329 square foot, 2 story steel frame structure which will included a Newborn Intensive Care Unit, C-section Rooms, and Recovery, while the second floor bed tower will house Medical/Surgical Unit and Administrative Services. The first floor D&T will include Treatment Exam Emergency Department, Exam Observation Unit (Universal Care Unit), an Imaging Department, which includes Digital Radiography Fluoroscopy Rooms, a CT Scan, a Nuclear Medicine Suite, an MRI Suite, General Orthopedic and Cardiac Operating Rooms, Special procedure Rooms (Cath Labs), PACU, Central Sterile Processing. A Central Utility Plant, Water Treatment facility were also part of the contract.
Signet provided special inspection and material testing services including reinforced concrete, reinforced steel, welding inspection and non-destructive testing, floor flatness (F-Number Measurement), water proofing, fire proofing and dowel / anchor installation.
