The Normal Avenue Parking Structure project is a four-story parking structure with a 15kW solar array located on the roof, to provide 359 automobile spaces,11 motorcycle stalls, and 242 bicycle parking stalls. A single-story building will be constructed adjacent to the parking structure along West 2nd Street to house the University Police Department (4,200 gsf) and administrative offices (3,800 gsf). The Design-Build project was designed to LEED silver equivalent.
MatriScope provided geotechnical investigation services, exploratory borings advanced to depths of 20 to 45 feet below existing ground surface, geologic hazard study, related laboratory testing, peer review on construction documents, earthwork observation, and material testing services during the construction phase.
